Team Lead building MediaOs (see below) with Hearst Newspapers to bring platform and content management to a common, cross-division, in-house set of services.

2015 - 2017 Team Lead developing an in-house service-oriented web publishing/management platform ("MediaOs") for Hearst Television in collaboration with Hearst Magazines. Yii Framework, Backbone, scss, go, etc.

Web application and product development on quizatio.us, a service and application for editing and serving quizzes for Hearst's magazine properties, built on go, Rails, and Angular.

2010 - 2014 | BranchOut/talk.co (vp of product development)

Strategy and development of BranchOut's web, and desktop, Android, and iOS apps. JIRA, Android, iOS, Objective C, EC2, aws, redis, scalr, Java, mysql, Javascript, jQuery. Co-founder, Raised ~$48m in VC funding as part of funding presentation team, 60+ employees.

2008 - 2010 | SuperFan (sr. web developer)

Flex/Actionscript development and strategy. Program web interfaces on Java/Spring/mySql/YUI/Javascript/HTML. Develop and maintain Facebook applications.

2005 - 2008 | Tickle, Inc (web engineering manager)

Developed and maintained a Flash/Actionscript API and platform for rapid Flash development. Wrote Actionscript classes and interfaces to support Flash developers. Developed and maintained Flash applications for ringo.com and tickle.com. Developed internal tools and processes for site maintenance and sandbox support. Authored Java controllers for web applications. Created rich AJAX web interfaces. Performed virality and UI testing.

2000 - 2004 | Monster Worldwide (technical lead)

Programmed web applications using Java, Perl, PHP, and C#/.NET. Created user interfaces in Javascript, DHTML and CSS. Developed data designs and scripting for SQL Server/Transact-SQL, mySQL and other database-driven applications. Trained and mentored programmers. Managed project teams and delegated workload. Liaised directly with clients and 3rd party technical teams to assess projects and create work estimates. Translated technical aspects of project to clients and coworkers. Wrote scope-of-work documentation and tracked project status.

1999 - 2000 | SunTrust Banks Incorporated (web programmer)

Facilitated front-end and back-end site development and tested mainframe systems. Analyzed information processing, assessed software and hardware requirements and tailored systems to meet organizational needs. Optimized site files to decrease load time and updated search engine procedures through development of improved search patterns. Re-launched improved site after business merger. Developed Java servlets to enable dynamic PDF printing.

Modal Theremin: A theremin-style musical instrument that's tunable to given scale.
